DRAFT BULLETIN 1 to the Open European Microlight
Championships 2002 (EMC) Hereby the first document of the information related to the EMC is
published. This one here together with BULLETIN 2 and 3
will constitute the main elements of the planned info-chain with the
content: Bulletin 1, issued here and now, with: ·
conceptions and objectives
of the event, ·
the means planned to be
applied for realization. Bulletin 2, issued before the 30th April, with: ·
answers to inquiries, ·
actual state of
preparations, ·
results of experiments with
GPS application, ·
numbers of intended entries
and official entry procedure, ·
accommodating and lodging
conditions. Bulletin 3, issued before the 15th June, with ·
a last call, ·
experiences of the
Nationals, ·
advises to arrive via air
or on wheels. Interim Bulletins will be published whenever it becomes necessary. Parallel with the Bulletins the EMC home page will be run with more detailed information and the news on the URL http://www.kanizsa.net/aeroclub The EMC objectives are as follow. 1.
Microlighting is a special kind of tourism. Task will
pass the most beautiful parts of the country and will end in goal fields with
hot spas in the neighboring habitations. Thus
not only the competitors will be able to enjoy the
possibilities, the families and non competing team members will be
offered this chance, as well. 2.
"Flight between Nations - Dialogue between
Peoples" (as the ICAO says ), therefore some tasks will cross the
Hungarian-Slovenian-Croatian borders with goal fields within these countries.
Possible visa problems are being investigated and the findings published. 3.
Mr. Kibinsky, who is in charge of handling media
friendly tasks in the CIMA, asked us to give the opportunity to run Polish media
attractive *demo" tasks. We
ourselves, also, are planning to run our Hungarian demo tasks - this time
possibly for prize-money. These tasks
will be run in the intervals of the competition on the goal fields to entertain
the inhabitants of the host town. 4.
Experiments are being run to use GPS-es for evaluation.
If the results are favorable one basic element of
media attraction which the "instant result declaration" is,
will certainly come true. The results of the tests and experiments will be continuously published
on the "News" side of the EMC home page. The EMC conception to run
championships which are simultaneously 1.
international tour and dialogue oriented, 2.
family and spa oriented, 3.
demonstration and
media oriented, requires experiments. After some tests being run nowadays the
general rehearsals follow, which will be: ·
Open Hungarian Classic
Classes UL Championships, 23-26 May, ·
Open Hungarian Para Classes
UL Championships, 6-9 June, with headquarters on Nagykanizsa Airport in both cases. Conditions of
participation at these rehearsals will be in the EMC home page soon. We got several inquiries from non-European countries
about their possible participation. This is why the EMC will be
an open championships and countries outside of the "continental
region of Europe" (Sporting Code General Section 3.5.4.3.) may enter a team
at the invitation of the Organizer and will compete as "guest" teams.
Guests cannot be awarded with the title of the "European Champion" and
will receive the trophies of the
Organizer. The draft Invitation and the draft Local Regulations are already on
the EMC home page and are being investigated by the CIMA Bureau. Both documents
become official following the approval of the CIMA based upon the delegates
comments. Hereby
we ask your kind assistance in the following items. ·
Considering competition aspects any remark on the
Local Regulations is welcome, however mostly and officially considered may be
only the comments of the official CIMA delegates. ·
Considering managing aspects one may remark that
some key officials are still missing. Any proposal on any missing official
(Loc.Reg.1.3.) with notes on their experiences are welcome. Note that applicants
to the missing Para Classes officials besides any capacities must be strictly
para flying experts, as well. ·
Considering logistic aspects your estimated basic
number of aircrafts/class intended to come would be appreciated. These
approximate numbers should be e-mailed to us as soon as possible. For
any information still missing or for clarification of an existing one do not
hesitate to e-mail to the EMC Director on the ordody@axelero.hu. For
your assistance thank you in advance. Marton
